I have an old PRO-2021 scanner (200 channels) that I received from a friend. Althogh it can't compete with my PRO-164, I would like to clear the 75 programmed channels, many of which are duplicates and see if I can find someone who could use it one I reprogram it with useful freqs. Thank You in advance.

Thanks for the link. The manual does not say anything about clear all the freqs. I suppose you just reprogram the individual channels. Two things I don't like about this scanner is that is scans slowly (relative to my PRO-164) and it scans through the whole of a bank whether there is a freq in all the channels or not. I best thing is that it was free! The manual has a copywright date of 1986, so this thing is older than I thought. Thank again.

If I remember from mine there may be a reset pinhole in the back , you have to use a pen or something,....
or it should have a 9 volt battery in the back under the panel with a screw , take that out & unplug the unit that should clear it....

I remember now that it said that there was a 9v battery back up to prevent the loss of saved data. I didn't think to just remove it. I don't even know that there is one inside. I know the scan button does not seem to work. From Manual mode, I have to turn in off and on again to get it back to scanning. Two good things, though, are that this is not my primary scanner and it was FREE! Thank You.

On a unit of that age it is common for the rubber buttons to become a little sticky from built up debris getting in the cracks ,Especially when it is cold for some reason , If you look at it ,..It should be fairly easy to take off the face & the rubber keypad & clean it out ,..Sometimes this helps , sometimes the rubber & contacts are worn & are just gonna be sticky no matter what you do ..It may not be the newest , but its fine for marine & civil air etc ,,,Good Luck

Unfortunately, that isn't the case here - or it doesn't seem to be. The SCAN button goes in and out as easily as all the others. The other fuction buttons make a loud "beep" when yo press them. The SCAN does not!

That DID work, Thank You. I databased on the Freqs and found that 96 channels had freqs in them. After I removed all the duplicate freqs, I would up with only 59. I put them back in (without the duplicates) along with all the other local non-Trucked channels, removing the channels I KNOW are no longer used here. Thanks to Exel, they are all in numerical order and number only 28. Thank You all for your help.
