Before the rebanding of the Clermont County TRS, my PSR-500 worked great, ever since the rebanding, as the scanner locks onto a talkgroup, i hear static that sounds like open squelch. When i open the squelch up a little so the noise stops, i start missing out on radio traffic as the scanner stops on a talkgroup but does not unmute voice. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

I'm not an expert...but maybe you should try reprogramming your scanner

Only a suggestion..

I did reprogram the scanner, i even double checked to make sure everything was right, and it hasn't worked right ever since, how many times do i need to reprogram it before it works right?

It sounds like the tables that are programmed aren't correct. Are you using the table shown here?

I definitely haven't changed anything in regards to the tables, I've left them in there factory setting, this might alse explain why the Butler County, OH TRS is not receiving properly, It's a similar problem to the Clermont County, OH TRS which was also rebanded.

I know nothing about these tables, i will make the changes using the scanner's keypad. Do i just copy the changes from the site as listed below:

Thanks for the help

Table line 0
CH Lo: 440
CH hi: 559
Base Freq: 851.02500
Offset: 440
Step: 25.000

Table line 1
CH Lo: 0
CH hi: 719
Base Freq: 851.01250
Offset: 0
Step: 25.000

Update: These table setting's seem to work great so far, I've not went mobile yet.

Threads combined

All,

Not sure why, but a number of you elected to create multiple threads about the same thing. All have been combined into this thread.

In regard to your issues, check to see if the system is operating on new rebanded frequencies. If so, follow the instructions for your scanner to change the trunking tables to rebanded, or re-download the system using the software of your choice.

The PRO-433 does not support rebanding and the Clermont County system has rebanded.

FWIW I programed my BCD396XT with FreeScan from RR and it worked fine in July when I was in Clermont County. I actually received the system fine all the way to Leesburg.

Clermont County uses digital voice, your Pro-433 would not be able to decode it anyway.
