I'm not *****ing. Well, maybe, sorta. I don't understand the purpose of closing a thread to further replies.

I would like to contribute to a thread about the Turner JM+3 mobile microphone.
The thing hasn't been manufactured for a few hundred years.
How does it serve the community to prohibit further discussion?

Because people tend to dredge up threads from years ago without adding anything useful. Typically new members who search for a topic, find it and add their $.02 in without contributing anything useful.

Not sure how we’re prohibiting further discussion when you can just start a new thread? If you’re really savvy, you could include a link to the closed thread.

Thread closed :)
