Yesterday afternoon something failed in the patch for South Division Dispatch. The mobile units were copying each other on South Division but the dispatcher couldn't hear the South Division mobile units, only the Steele Creek units. Supposedly South was patched with Steele Creek as it often is.
This happened at a particularly bad time due to a call that was in progress requiring backup and ems. Someone finally switched over to Steele Creek and got the dispatcher's attention.
What would have to fail to cause a problem like this?
