I have heard of several new frequency assignments for the USCG in the UHF-low range of 400-420.

Anyone know if there has been any activity in this band near the outer banks or if there are any new repeaters in place?

I'm going to be making a trip down there and i'd like to plug in whatever I can in my XTS.

Thanks!

So far [New England] these appear to be Simplex and P25/Enc :(

I would program them away, as it could vary by Sector on what is used.

the VHF LMR is P25/Enc in Boston 98%, yet Southern and Northern New England are 98% P25 vs Enc

Well, this trip was on too short a notice to do any in-depth programming, but I figured I would ask.

I'll try to do a little scanning and see what I come up with.

Thanks!
