You maybe quite surprised. Several scanner antennas on the market are just TV antennas rotated 90 degrees. If possible you can rotate the elements and improve recepition. TV signals are horizon and land mobile are verital. Keep in mind that it will be directional. RS does carry a female F to BCN adapter. Also many Ebay resources. Seach BCN connector

The TV coax will work. I did find, however, that all I could pick up were the TV audio signals. I couldn't pick up any other signals (police, aircraft, railroad). This is due to the design of the antenna.

Coaxial what? Answer that question and you have your answer if you just use your noodle. This has got to be one of those bad hair days, this is the umpteenth time I have given a similar response in the period of about an hour. THINK, PEOPLE, THINK!
