A Sterling man is dead as the result of a two-vehicle crash in Logan County.
The Colorado State Patrol says 60-year-old Rodney J.-DeLong was driving a Buick Park Avenue west on County Road 24 Thursday afternoon when he ran a stop sign at County Road 35.
The Buick then slammed into a Sterling semi-truck that was heading north on 35.
The semi rolled a-quarter turn and ended up on its left side. The back of the Buick was suspended on the bottom of the truck.
Authorities say DeLong was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
Thirty-two-year-old Cody R.-Henry of Merino was driving the truck. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Sterling hospital.
Drugs, alcohol and excessive speed are not considered factors in the crash.
