Have not heard Commtronics digital or analog lately as well as Radio Communications MOT2 analog, none of these for some time.Have they been deleated and if so why hasnt that been posted. I really liked these comms. Has it got something to do with Firstnet and cellphones in general. I am old and poor and this is all i have to listen too. I cant stand political, sports, along with religion information. Please somebody, maintain these sites better.

Commtronics of VA was sold to Mobile Communications America last year. MCA didn't want the Capacity + system so it was decommissioned after the remaining customers went elsewhere. Their LTR system is still there but it was sold to S.B. Cox (Demolition and Ready mix) to keep using.

KG4INW,

WOW!!! That explains a lot! Tnx!! No wonder all of the Commtronics WPPW673 DMR 461.6125 mhz., 461.7875 mhz et al, Capacity Plus frequencies are silent. I had been puzzled as to why I was receiving seven new TGIDs on the multi-site RCA DMR(Mototrbo) Connect Plus trs using the 454-455 mhz. range frequencies. All new DMR TGIDs appeared to be Richmond metro area contractor truck haulers normally transporting dirt, gravel for the Richmond metro area. During the past four days including today as I post, a few TGIDS are spreading salt on the Richmond metro interstates/related roads.

I first thought the influx of new TGIDs was weird but now having the context, it makes perfect sense as the last time I checked the Commtronics 460-465 trs maybe a week or so past, there were DMR transmissions but no users active. Some RCA Connect trs users have left but others have remained in addition to some new users. The problem there is to correctly id who the new user(s) is/are.

Here are two contractor truck haulers in my frequency database when active on the Commtronics trs and now for sure on the RCA trs but I do not know their correct talkgroup relationship:

R. J. SMITH
C. D. HALL

Here are the seven new TGIDs logged during the past few days on the RCA Connect Plus trs:
TG 159
TG 160
TG 161
TG 162
TG 163
TG 164
TG 165

No problem! R.J. Smith now uses a PTT over cellular service so you won't hear them anywhere. C.D. Hall is on RCV, I believe, but I don't know anything about their system.
