Hello, I have had a pair of Midland GXT1000 radios for a little while now. When we're traveling, I always set privacy codes and that has worked quite well. Santa brought me a Radioddity GM-30 for Christmas and I wanted to use it with them. This is where I'm having the issue. On the Midlands, they utilize code numbers and they have a chart in their manual telling you the corresponging frequency number pertaining to that code. Sounds simple enough. On the Radioddity, it doesn't have code numbers, it uses the frequency. So you have to go to the menu item and scroll through the pre-programmed frequencies until the one you're looking for appears, then you confirm it. So far so good. When I transmit with the Midland, the Radioddity will receive, but when I try to transmit with the Radioddity, the Midland never responds (while the codes are in place). I removed the privacy codes and was just trying them out in plain, and they can communicate to each other fine that way. The only part that isn't working right is getting the Radioddity to talk to the Midland with the privacy code activated. What am I overlooking?
