Connecting PSR 500 to computer

OK I need help, I just got my 500 today, I am attempting to connect to my computer (XP). I have Butel 500 software.

I cannot seem to get it to connect, No lights on the RXD TXD area of the blue connector.

I have read the info , Cannot figure it out, I'm frustrated so maybe I'm missing something?

Help?

Did you load the drivers for the USB cable? Did you check to see in Device Manager that you are pointing to the port the drivers are loaded to, and in fact that the port is really available?

Thanks for the reference, It was in fact the pointing to the correct USB port, Not sure how many times I checked it but I must have been just missing it,
