I dont have time to search ok ok i'm to lazy to look but this is from the COPS Blog on DEC 10th.

SEASON 20 IN THE BOOKS

I'd like to thank all of the departments that participated this season that have made 2007 another amazing year for the program. It's hard to believe this series has been around for 20 seasons and even more incredible that it's still fresh and kinetic and fun to produce! We had the opportunity to work with the men and women of the Sacramento Police Department and Kansas City, Missouri Police Department again after 10 years away. Another familiar department that hasn't made an appearance for awhile is the Pomona Police Department -- and boy, are they back! We were also fortunate to add a few new faces to the 150+ agencies we've worked with over the years including the Rialto Police Department and Leon County Sheriff's Office. This season we made it to 20 different cities across the country and visited a state that has never been on before -- Michigan!

I heard something (maybe a rumor) that they couldnt film in Detroit due to legal reasons.
I havent seen it in Mi at all on COPS, but there are a lot of Metro Detroit videos on World's Scariest Police Chaces and other similar shows, with the dash board cams.
They show Redford, Keego Harbor, Warren, Sterling Heights, Roseville, West Bloomfield, MSP, and a few others often.

Taping in Detroit would give them more than enough material for many seasons. They should start taping with Swamy Kilpatrick.

None of those operate in Lansing...

Maybe not inside the City, but COPS has a tradition of going to other departments that surround a certain City or town, and there are areas (especially in Delta Twp.)that have a Lansing Postal Address.

I see what you're saying... But they usually identify that in the locater as I recall (mentioning "county" when with a sheriff -- and I can't see enough in Delta Twp to warrant an episode in the west-side-hood :> )

All female officers, all very attentive and professional on camera.
Looked more like a recruiting film than a cops show.
But it was nice to see Mi on there.

Agreed, but it was sorta dull. I know more exciting things than that happen in Lansing. I'm hoping we can look forward to some more Lansing (and other areas) footage in the future.

It was Lansing.

If you missed it wait 2 weeks from date of airing then go to their site and they will have the entire episode for your viewing.

LPD was in the 2nd episode that evening.

3 Female officers, 1 male arrest on a warrant.

It's actaully up on the FOX TV Website right now, just watched it.It was cool that they came to Lansing, but the segment was kind of lacking.I know that you have to ride for a couple months or so to get the real good footage, but it seemed like they could find somthing more interesting than that to show!Oh,well...Maybe they will have more from MI later on this year.
