Over the past year I have monitored Cuyahoga County MARCS Talkgroups 13537 - Beachwood Fire Dispatch and 13546 - Lyndhurst-Pepper Pike Dispatch. During this time I have never had a hit on 13537 but I have had many hits on 13546. The hits on 13546 contain Radio ID's for Beachwood Fire Dispatch, Beachwood Fire, Lyndhurst Fire and Pepper Pike Fire. Has anyone else noticed this type of activity? If so perhaps we should correct the descriptions on 13537 and 13546.

Yep ... I concur that 13546 is Beachwood / Lyndhurst / Pepper Pike Fire Dispatch. I think Beachwood dispatches all three.

Looks like they might have changed TGs the beginning of 2019 because I have lots of hits on 13537 until then.

Actually Ed the last hit I got on 13537 was August 2019. Starting in September Beachwood was using 13546. If memory serves me (ha, ha) didn't Pepper Pike or Lyndhurst or both switch onto MARCS around September?

Whiskey 3JMC, I don't know how you folks in Philadelphia work your changes but up here in NE Ohio we like to get consensus before "Submitting" changes - right Mike???

I concur. I have not heard any activity on 13537. I have heard Beachwood, Lyndhurst, and Pepper Pike Fire on 13546. Beachwood dispatches all three.

I read somewhere that when Beachwood Fire arrives on scene they switch to 13540, but I haven't heard any activity on 13540 yet.

So when Beachwood & Pepper Pike switched to MARCS, the Beachwood Chief wanted to use their Private talkgroup for primary communications while Pepper Pike went to the "Hillcrest -South" talkgroup as originally planned when they made the template years before. When the Beachwood Chief retired his replacement fixed it so they all were using the same talkgroup again. ...at least that is the rumor I heard.

Bill, I suppose it is all about dispatch costs but it would seem more logical if Lyndhurst was aligned with Mayfield Hts or South Euclid but I guess their radios have all the neighbors programmed.

I will submit the change in Alpha Tag for 13546. Not sure what the DB Managers want to call 13537.

Lyndhurst was part of the original Mayfield FEMA/MARCS Grant back in 2008. They have been on the current talk group since the Hillcrest fire departments switched off of 420.
