Constables operate under the town’s resident trooper. They are usually retired troopers
Resident Troopers are active State Troopers, employed by the Connecticut State Police. They are not retired.

When they do the Coordinator Roll Call, it's by County then Coordinator, Litchfield County (8) is the last county, and I am have been the last # on the list (98). They open the roll call up to any other users, which is a good thing, so in practice I am not the last guy who answers anymore.. lolA few weeks ago i think 8-4 Killingworth's ambulance checked in. When does DEMHS conduct their testing in your region? When DEMHS opens it up for the statewide test, I am often last, as I test my department portables when they switch over to "anyone not on the list"
I was a constable in Bolton under Troop K jurisdiction for 17 years, my number was KC 51, we worked under a resident state trooper who had their own state police ID number. We would be scheduled when the resident trooper was not on duty, and have the patrolling troopers as back ups
They have a resident state trooper.I don't believe Bolton has had Constables in a while, unless I am mistaken.
But they no longer have a constable, as far as I know. They have a resident state trooper.

Far back as I know there has been a resident trooper.Never actually met any of the resident troopers for my home town. Heard through the grapevine that the previous 2 were not the nicest people in the world but the current one is rumored to be pretty cool, I'd like to meet him some day.
I am somewhat curious to know how long Barkhamsted has been a resident trooper town and if we ever had constables. Ty probably knows something![]()
