In case anyone else is curious, I'm checking out these this year:

shows 123.300 and 123.500 as being assigned for gliders and balloons.
Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association - AAAA-FCC Itinerent Frequency Radio License
shows 16 vhf and 16 uhf freqs licensed to the Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association.
Don't know if they'll be in use up here, but it's worth checking.

2012 results
It was fun to try. Heard a couple of the AAAA freqs do radio checks, and one conversation. One of the 400 mhz AAA freqs coincidentally was the Dansville EMS there on-site, so heard a bit there too. Law enforcement was the most interesting about 5:00pm or so as traffic was backing up for a mile at the exit on 390S and traffic closer to the airport was trying to get ahead by running on the shoulder.
Not all the balloon talk that I'd hoped to catch, but who can complain on such a gorgeous day?
