I use powerpole connectors as I plug/unplug and move stuff frequently because of my use case. There are other connectors previously mentioned that work very well and cost much less. I even use those too! I'm awesome!

I do not have voltage problems, nor have my powerpole connections come apart. Additionally, there are plastic plugs that can really reduce that possibility if needed. My guess is that the connectors were not put together properly in the first place. Anyways, I am personally not put off by the additional cost. I am also not worried about someone else connecting my gear to my power sources incorrectly either...whether my blocks are fused or not.

For personal use, I am unsure of what the issue is. To each their own. I am doubtful someone would change their mind. Might as well argue about which direction the toilet paper comes off the roll.

That’s why I’m moving over to them. I drive various different trucks over the course of a year and I temporarily install my scanner and radio in them. I got tired of various hacks and accessory plugs slipping so I finally just started installing power pole jacks in the trucks. They take up less space and hide out of the way when not in use. Plus if I need to bring them inside for updates, it’s easier to power.

And it’s over the top.:ROFLMAO:

12Way 12/32V Auto Car Power Distribution Blade Fuse Holder Box Block Panel Board
Looks like a cheap copy (probably made in China) of the BlueSea panel with the same small terminals on the load side of the fuses.

The rig runner stuff is excellent. I have both the name brand and a generic knock off I bought on eBay. I’ve not had any issues with either one. Both are fused at each connector. I think both support 8 inputs.

I’d not hesitate buying another Windcamp AP-8 instead of a Rig Runner. $50 ish range. Does everything the RR does and just as well.

Also buy your Anderson Pawrrr Poes (I’m from the South could you tell?) off eBay or Amazon. You’ll save a lot of money.

Have your cake and eat it too or shell out the bones for a legit RR.

I'd be very careful purchasing PowerPoles (or any other parts for that matter) on Amazon. So much of the stuff on there is Chinese knock-offs that aren't up to the same quality as the original. I buy all my PowerPoles from either Powerwerx or Ham radio Outlet who sources them from Powerwerx.

I was not setup up at the time to measure current when measuring the voltage drop and I don't see how that matters anyway
If there is more current than the connector is designed for, or the wire is rated for at that diameter, there will be excessive voltage drop. (Such as pulling 30A through a 15A connector.) Even if the connector was properly installed.

Secondly, was that one you tested an actual Anderson product, or an off-brand?

Actual Anderson Power Pole parts and NOT off-brand as you call it.
I was using the 30A parts and current drain could not have been any near that
since i was only using a receiver specified to draw about 3A. Apparently you
think I do not know what I am doing and my 40+ years of being in various
electronics industries as an electronics engineer are worthless. I am well aware
far more than you are when it comes to measurements standards and how to
go about them. PS - Anderson Power Pole crimp connector was used to put it
all together. Don't you have anyone else to harrass or puke on?

You make it sound like I know you, or have any idea of your history, which I do not.

You made an assertion, with no supporting commentary, and contrary to published data. That was why I questioned your statement

I have been here since RR started and always help others as much as possible but If you are so distrustful of everyone on this website
you better expect to make many enemies so don't expect anyone to help you with a problem if you happen to ask if you automaticly
distrust everyone except yourself. It is not a good policy to auto-distrust all others and have no faith in those around you and reminds
me of the pre-wwii era in Germany which you have learned so well.
