I have A Uniden BCD996T and would like to be able to enter DEC / Hex codes into my scanner, looking through my manual I can't find any reference to DEC / HEX. Any help would be helpful. I am using Bearcat BCD996T software. Otherwise the unit works fine using non P25 entry.

TGID (in the manual) = DEC / HEX (on Radio Reference Trunking Data system pages)
The terminology in the manual uses TGID. (And you scanner is looking for DEC TGID's, HEX is just a different format of the same info, and you don't need that for your radio)

A TGID = Talk Group ID, or a virtual Channel number that the scanner recognizes on trunked systems.

Typically DEC/hex refers to the talk group ID. It’s the same value in two different representations, base 10 (dec) and base 16 (hex). Depending on the software you are using and preferences you have set in the software, it may want one or the other value to identify a talk group.

Thanks for your help, I thought it was replacing the freq entry, I'm working on it now, again thanks.

Yep, It's complicated to understand, Don't confuse Site (or System) frequencies (They are needed also) with TGID's (the virtual talk paths transmitted on those sites frequencies) :) Lot's of different jargon is used, there are some resources available in the wiki.
