Receiving Denton as far south as Arlington..........
Was that on the old analog system, or the P25 (current) system?

I used to have zero issues hearing the old Denton system here at home. Now, I hardly ever hear it. I have a directional antenna to put up as well. I plan to aim it northwest, to see if that improves Irving. There would be at least a chance that I could also hit the Coppell site for MetroCrest, and hopefully the Lewisville site on he Denton system. It's worth a try,

I am located in Hurst near 820 and HWY 10

I used to live almost on top of the hill just east of Northeast Mall (S of Bedford Euless W of Precinct Line) and it was hard to hear Denton County stations from there (this was way before the P25 system). I'm not surprised that you can't hear it from your location.
