DENVER - An area family of five is looking for a place to stay Thursday following an early morning fire.
The Denver Fire Department says the fire was in the 400 block of Lowell Boulevard just before 3 a.m.
Everyone inside of the home was able to escape and roughly 38 firefighters responded to the scene to help attack the blaze.
After about 20 minutes the fire was out. The cause remains under investigation, but firefighters say a preliminary investigation indicates that it started in the kitchen.
The Red Cross has also responded and is assisting the family in finding a place to stay.
