Denver TRS problems

I live in Colorado Springs and am having trouble picking up Denver TRS..... and when I do pick them up it is usually a beeping noise that won't go away. Sometimes my scanner (Pro-96) uses the EDACS freqs. and sometimes Motorola freqs. and I don't know which one to use? Am I to far away to pick up Denver? Is there something wrong with the scanner or is it my lack of knowledge?

Might just be distance. I'm listening to Denver's system right now with no apparent problems. It's an EDACS system.

I live in Colorado Springs, too and typically I can't hear anything in the Denver metro area until I at least get over Monument Hill. By Castle Rock I can hear just about any system up there,
As with weather, Monument Hill has a large influence on radio traffic.

Not to mention some of the freqs used by the Denver system are also used in Colorado Springs as well.

Don't forget the many excellent on-line feeds if you really want to listen to Denver from the Springs, or the other way around.
