Digital Sounding??

I don't know what it is but I just got the APCO-25 card today and I entered my town and I can hear them but its sounds very digital and cuts out. Sometimes it is clear but not all the time.

I have a Uniden BC250D.

Did you adjust the digital voice settings using the instruction on page 78 of the manual?
