Hollister, CA Fire uses 155.8050 and the database doesn't indicate a tone. I'm getting a valley agency (Merced or something) on there and would like to knock it off).

I'm pretty sure the 15X has a PL "Search" thing in it, but its back at Uniden getting fixed for another couple weeks. I have an old reliable 9000XLT and a Trunk Tracker II- can either of those discover a tone? I'll be happy to pass it along to the database once ID'd.

I don't think either have PL/DPL search. Wait til you get your unit back and then submit to the database.

Thanks for looking- I'm stuck I think- since Modesto uses the same, entering the PL won't help screen them out. I'll use attenuation, but likely miss some portable traffic.

Is it just me or are these agencies not clear on the concept of PL tone use? Seems a comedy of errors they all picked the same tone...
