I'm in the East Kootenays and I have a number of Fire Departments using the DMR system dispatched by the same location.
I have entered a number of frequencies as well as Talk Group and UID into one system.

Cranbrook, Kimberley, Jaffrey, Hosmer, Windermere, etc.
The Stations come up on Color Code 1 and Slot 1

Question for the group ... I was wondering when the BCD436HP stops while scanning "How do I get to see what Frequency it is receiving the TX on?"
Thanks

For OFT programming..
I program each frequency into it's own site and name the site the Frequency and Color Code if known and a Site# (the site number isn't necessary, but it helps me keep them straight since they don't really have an actual Site ID broadcast.

Site # - Color Code Freq Location Call

1-13 854.7875 Georgetown WNAY658
2-11 860.4125 Rawlinsville WPCJ327
3-? 860.1625 Rawlinsville WPCJ327
4-6 854.1375 New Holland WZV250
5-? 854.7375 New Holland WZV250
6-? 861.5125 New Holland WZV250
7-? 861.9125 New Holland WZV250
Using this method you can see the frequency in the site field on the display, Other wise you can't know on the display..
It's not an issue with the SDS series since they have the details display mode..

This method won't work for actual DMR trunked system sites since many frequencies need to be in the same site to work. but it's great for conventional DMR.

This is just my method, you could name the site any way that works for you.
frequency and color code would be sufficient as well..

I forgot to mention that the Fire Department is a One Frequency DMR system.
Not sure if that would make a difference?

OFT = One Frequency DMR system or One Frequency Trunk in Sentinel programming.

DMR One Frequency.

You create a separate site for each frequency and name the site with the frequency in the name as explained above. When the frequency is active you'll know what is being used by looking at what the site name says on your screen..

I wasn't sure of the frequency ... so I had 2-3 to choose from ... so I entered all three thinking it would show
I didn't want to make 2-3 systems and put one freq in each system and see what happens.
maybe I'll have to.

Just create an additional site for each frequency, there's no limit to how many sites can be created in the same OFT.
Not unlike having two departments for TGID's.
Have a separate site created for each frequency and name the site (alpha tag) using the frequency that you added.
When that frequency is active the site name will display the frequency being received, because you named it with the frequency.

Are you sure? I have been experimenting with this lately and this will be good to know.

Yep, Positive.
Have a separate site for each discrete frequency, Then you'll always know which frequency is active by simply seeing the site that gets displayed. (if you use the naming scheme cited above)
You could have the same frequency entered under different sites if different Color Codes are used by different users of the same frequency.

Unless your jesting about the limit of how many sites you can have, The limit would be determined by the 1 MB file size limit.

To be clear, I create a new OFT system for each user/licensee. I don't recommend throwing everything including the kitchen sink in one system.. You'd have some difficulty matching different users on the same TG for instance from several different users.. Not to mention keeping RID's straight.

Also assigning a site id can correspond with a QK for quick reference.

In the example posted above, the department is QK 0
Site 1 (QK 1) is Color Code 13 on 854.7875 Georgetown WNAY658
Keeping the most pertinent info furthest to the left with the display factor in mind.
