I think I asked this in the wrong forum. How do I get the display to change colors when scanning different systems? Say I'm scanning system A and its red, then it scans system B I want it to be blue, then when it scans system C I want it to be purple. Is it possible to point me in the right direction ? Thanks guys n gals for answering all my questions !!

As was noted in your other post, no, that is not an option. While you cange the color of various fields, those changes are only for that specific item type. You cannot set different colors based on which system is being scanned.

You could assign a specific alert light color for each system, but you only have seven colors to choose from, and you would only see the alert light itself if it stopped on a programmed channel or talkgroup. But the setting is per channel (or talkgroup), so all would have to be programed for each item in the system. (There is no 'blanket' setting for all items in a system; they can only be set individually.) Similarly, you could use one of the alert tones for each system, but again, that would need to be programmed for each channel or talkgroup.

I dont know if its cool to post a link here, but this is what i was trying to ask,at 0:40 the display changes colors that corresponds to what is being scanned, how did this guy do it ? Is there a setting or is this just the way it works ? Sorry for being confused,I just think its cool. (175) SDS100 Programming Question for Users - Looking for some input - YouTube
At 0:09 and 0:47, I see the system changed from a trunk system to a conventional system. The colors are set differently for Detail Conventional then they are for Detail Trunk.

On the video, he was primarily addressing people outside of the U.S. on creating something to help them find frequencies & load them.

He did not do anything special to his display. I you look more closely, you'll see a green color for the system name if the system in question is trunked. For Conventional systems (not trunked), he has it set for shades of blue. That is not an individual 'system by system' color scheme; he's simply using a different color pattern for trunked & conventional systems. (That's what Bob (ProScan) was saying.

You can do that yourself, by editing the detail conventional, and detail trunk,, in the Profile Editor.
