Scanner Master is charging $75.00 for a DMR upgrade. I think I remember purchasing it for $50.00 a few years back. All that was required was I had to do the setup myself. Where is the cheapest place to purchase DMR ? thank you for your time
Wrong again. The dealers always mark up the cost of the upgrades quite a bit. As buddrousa pointed out above, they are much cheaper when purchased directly from Uniden.I believe the $75 DMR Scanner Master price is fair traded… seriously doubt you’d find a cheaper price.
The upgrade already resides in the firmware. All you need to do is to login at my.uniden.com and register your scanner to purchase the key to enable it. The key will be emailed to you. In scanner, do this to enter the key: MENU > Scroll to Settings > Press E > Scroll to Upgrade > Press E > Scroll to Upgrade DMR/MotoTRBO > Press E > Enter the key > Press E.Create or go to my.uniden.com register the scanner and pay either $60 enter the key yourself and you are set to go.

And they would pay $60 and charge you $75Ok. I see the Uniden price of $60 and I stand corrected. Thanks for correcting my erroneous information.
So, just curious, if the purchase was made by using Scanner Master;
Would Scanner Master register the radio using your info? Of course you would need to provide the necessary info to Scanner Master such as the ESN, your address, email, etc., and they in turn would purchase the $60 key using all your info so the key gets emailed directly to you?

15 bucks for 10 mins work… not an unreasonable amount… for those who either can’t be bothered and have the money or others who need help, the less fortunate than us…And they would pay $60 and charge you $75
If you are not able to do a simple thing like enter an upgrade key, you should not buy an SDS scanner15 bucks for 10 mins work… not an unreasonable amount… for those who either can’t be bothered and have the money or others who need help, the less fortunate than us…

I helped a sightless guy learn to use a SDS100. And he is probably able to enter an upgrade key, with help… get it? With help.If you are not able to do a simple thing like enter an upgrade key, you should not buy an SDS scanner
