Do the 200 & 300 Mhz freq.'s simulcast whats on 108-136 Mhz?

Looking up my local airport (Palm Beach Int.) I noticed that there are freq.'s in the 200 & 300 Mhz range along with 108-136 Mhz range. Here is an example:

PALM BEACH APPROACH: 124.6(NORTH) 125.2(SOUTH) 317.4(NORTH) 397.9(SOUTH)

In this case does 317.4 simulcast whats on 124.6 and 397.9 to whats on 125.2?

It is possible for the ATC tower to broadcast on both frequencies if needed, but you won't hear the aircraft on both frequencies. Remember Air freq.'s are single channel communications (Simplex).

Ok gotcha. I'm gonna put both in and see what I hear. At the very least I won't miss anything (lol)

Normally yes - my guess the airport also handles a siginificant amount of military aircraft either transiting the airspace or actually operatiing out of the airport - for example where I am at - Reno Tahoe International - we have a co-located Air national Guard Base as well as an FBO that handles a lot of transiting military aircraft - the UHF freqs are for communicating with military aircraft. You will hear them on the UHF and civil/private aviation on VHF - keep in mind though that most military aircraft have capability of using both.

In some countries you can.

An aircraft transmission on UHF is automatically retransmitted on the VHF frequency, by ATC equipment, and vice versa VHF to UHF. The purpose of this is so that all pilots are aware of the other traffic in the area, be it on UHF or VHF.

At the center, we transmit/receive on both VHF and UHF simultaneously. Every sector/facility is required to monitor and transmit on all VHF/UHF frequencies assigned to that sector/position.

Military aircraft certainly have not abandoned UHF radios, but seemingly more and more of them are coming equipped with VHF radios. I've talked to a few T-38s and F-18s that took VHF frequencies when given them.
