As of today it has been over a month since I sent in my check for the minimun donation
so I could check out the frequencies data base for pro 97 in my area. I had a bad experance with paypal so don't use it. But haven't had any problem with others taking my check. whats up?

Check out the forum a bit more often. The minimum donation is no longer a donation, and its $30 bucks.

So you need to send in another 15 bucks and thats a 1 year membership.

I thought that doesn't go into effect until July?

Keep in mind though that the subscription model doesn't become effective until July 1st. In theory, at least, haweye should currently have access. Furthermore, Lindsay stated recently:

* The cost will be $7.50/for every 90 days (Total Cost 30.00/per year)
* Users who have previously donated money will be granted a 110% credit towards their subscription

This rewards the members of the site who have previously donated money, and better reflects what the previous "donation" mode has been, a subscription.

In essence then, what you donated now will count towards your subscription come July 1.

Haweye, PM Lindsay and ask him about your payment and he will check on it.

If it has been over a month and you paid via a check, then you should know if the check cleared your bank. Not using PayPal is certainly your choice, but sending a check obviously is slower and more open to error than the direct electronic method.

As others have pointed out, the subscription service does not start until July 1 and previous donations will be counted toward it on that date.

First find out if your check has cleared, then contact Lindsay directly via email using the instructions contained at the RR Help Desk; do not attempt to PM him, that action will fail.

...and, it's 7.50/per 90 days. There is not a minimum of 30/year unless you want a 1 year sub.

I'll be putting up a wiki page shortly to outline the plans for July 1st and asnwer all questions and issues folks might have.
