On May of 2023 there was a local article relating to how the reporters were no longer going to be able to listen in on all PD and some FD frequencies.

Does this mean that they are completely scrambled and not even my SDS100 can listen in?
I have down loaded every talkgroup and P25 simulcast I can find and I don’t hear anything even the one fire frequency they said would be open.

The reporters and concerned citizens need to attend the next city council meeting and ask "what are they hiding from us?" until they restore access for journalists at a minimum.

Anytime I see encryption on every channel, my first thought is "shenanigans".

charlied I am listening to Control Channel 851.7375 and it seems that Dothan Comm system dispatch is still active and in the clear.
I monitor it from time to time and its always been normal. Dispatch is the only channel thats in the clear as far as the PD & FD is
concerned I believe. I am using DSDPlus software to monitor, haven't listened using my TRX-2 scanner. The data in the RR database
is correct I believe.

Correct - sometimes there are stray unencrypted TXs on the restricted freqs but it is extremely few and far between.
