AURORA – A 17-year-old girl is dead after she drowned in an apartment pool Monday afternoon.
Aurora Police say they were called to the Rain Tree Apartments in the 9900 block of East Evans Avenue just after 5:30 p.m. after the girl and an 11-year-old boy were spotted drowning.
The Aurora Fire Department also responded and life-saving efforts were taken to help both of them but the teenager died.
The boy was taken to Aurora Medical South, but his condition was not released.
