I tried clicking on the URL and got a not found. Can you tell us something more about this '750'? Is it the Eton E1XM without the XM circuitry, as being sold by Universal (and no doubt others) now, or something different?

No, it's an actual Grundig Sattelit.. Completely new radio.. It looks very beefy, yet more compact than the 800, but definitely borrowing from the same design.. One thing that sticks out to me is the big "knobby" tuning knob on the front.. I really like that..

Interesting - very retro look. Reminds me a lot of some old radios - specifically the Panasonic RF4900 and the orange version of the Sony ICF6800W (I think that was the last portatop/desktop Sony put out...). Almost certainly not something that could be carried on a plane easily :.>> 73s Mike

WOW! Looks Very Nice!

Looks nice!
I always liked the satellite 800 but it is SO huge that portability was a problem. The thing weighs a ton WITHOUT the batteries. I might actualy get this one!

Should be a winner for AM DX, with the 360 degree rotating ferrite rod antenna. I like it!

I see that it doesn't say if it has synchronous detect on AM. If it doesn't, that is a huge drop off from the 800.......Dealbreaker for me.

To the SWLs out there... if price was not the issue, would you take this new Grundig or an Icom IC-R75?

What kind of a weird question is that?

It's not weird, it's just a question. Ok maybe it is weird because the answer is obvious the R75

 I once punched a Master Debater, because that's just how I rock
