I'm not sure why everyone seems to feel so entitled to free releases more frequently. The author originally said there would be likely one or two per year. The last release was last Christmas, so still another month for a 2016 public release. How many releases of the public version of DSD have you seen? And if this is something you use often then save up a few bucks and donate.

I would if they'd take their emphasis off that FMP program and do more with the overall functionality of *DSD+*

I suggest that you go back and read M105's post #5 in this thread so that you'll have an informed opinion. There have literally been dozens of significant enhancements to the main DSD+ program. Just because they may not apply to your setup doesn't mean they're "useless".

Naturally you could hide behind your "AntiSquid Disclaimer", where you clearly state that you don't necessarily care to deal with facts. :roll:

Whats the difference between FMP, FMP24 and FMPA? Other than spanning 2.4 and for Airspy?

FMP24: This is a 2.4 Msps version of FMPA

FMP24 vs FMP differences:

samples I/Q data at 2.4 Msps

spectrum window is 1024 pixels wide

FFT size must be 16k, 32k or 64k

uses a more efficient I/Q processing chain

has no normal/economy mode option

has a selectable 20 kHz bandpass filter

uses narrower bandpass filter skirts (only 500 Hz wide) for all bandpass filters

these tighter filters:

reduce noise levels in weak signals

distort digital waveforms, but not enough to interfere with DSD+ decoding

configuration file is named FMP24.cfg

scan list file is named FMP24.ScanList

A lot of those enhancements deal with interaction with that FMP program. This is (IMHO) "useless" to those who use DSD+ in other applications.

I do like concerning myself with facts. Unfortunately, 1: Some people refuse to believe facts, and 2: I see things from my own point of view, which can differ from that of others.

I am aware of my shortcomings, one of which is my sometimes, dry, cut to the chase way of addressing things. In this overly sensitive society today, I created my disclaimer to demonstrate my disdain for political correctness; but at the same time cover my butt, as well as demonstrate a little bit of humor, which is rather dry at times.

Just be cool and be glad there are smart guys out there sharing their hard work with us. As an old programmer I know some of what they are going through to get some of this complicated stuff to work.

My two cents worth: The $25.00 Fastlane membership is a great deal and supports the efforts. I have been on it about a year now and enjoy watching the software develop even when an update doesn't address my own little wish list. Heck you can't fill the old truck up with gas for $25 bucks these days!

Keep posting your wants, needs, and bug reports on here and help out others when you can. This stuff reminds me of the old shareware days when us kids developed all the cool features without trying to get rich, just learn and have fun.

So what exactly are you expecting/waiting for? If waiting potentially months between releases then stuff like this clearly isn't for you. Projects like these aren't full time jobs, they get attention when the author(s) have time.

Whats happening with DSDPlus is they used you all to pay them to test it and work out the bugs.Then they sold you out to Uniden.And that why there on an extended payed vacation.
