Telemetry and various other forms of data can be transmitted too. I know my local snow plows transmit a data burst every time they drop the plow down to start pushing. And the fire department that I belong to... Our trucks have TRBO radios installed strictly for GPS & telemtry (our comms are conventional VHF). GPS is handled by 3rd party software on the option board and telemetry data gets sent out when the lights/siren are activated.

CqDx - Let me fire up my local machine and I'll get back to you shortly.

Ok... it seems to be working fine on my machine., You should be seeing LRRP entries with Target, Source, Lat/Long, Speed and Heading though. Not sure why you aren't getting that, but I'm willing to bet there are more than a few setups out there that don't match 'the norm'.

Hello,

The dsdplus and windows compile of dsd can share audio input and output, at least on windows 7.

I noticed dsdplus does not decode site information on Linked Capacity Plus systems.

d-star

Has anyone got d-star to work with either DSD+ version? I'm not having any luck here... so far not having issues with DMR decoding...

Disregard I see that dsdplus only does data.

Your master site
There is a problem with the event log showing the wrong talkgroup. Talkgroup 1-96 was shown in the event log as 16777312.
I see the same issue so it's not network specific as far as I can tell.

My observations and gripes:
When decoding NEXEDGE 9600 systems the DOS window shows them as P=NX48 instead of NX96. All else looks right.

When switching systems with the program running the Event Log system detail at the bottom is not cleared correctly so you can see previous system decode data.

With IDAS why does the active voice channel show as one that's also free?

Verbosity levels could be handled differently. Like v0 being non-repeated group calls, v1 could be non-repeated system info (plus group calls), etc. The last two could be repeated data. Being the program shows some of the less popular system specifics it's nice to easily find them in the "raw" window.

Even though I NUL my recording the software appears to write an audio file then delete it. I never noticed this before. It's no big deal since I don't think it uses any extra resources to do.

My biggest gripe is the channel format for Connect+ systems; it's just plain confusing. I'd prefer LCN/CH and slot number (2-1, 8-2, etc). In the real world I don't know anyone who runs Con+ and uses the DSD+ format for identification. It also makes it easier to figure them out.

DSD+ 1.51 starts on Elementary OS (Linux/wine)

Hi.

1.51 starts on Elementary OS /w wine. I don't know if it's decoding any data. I've to check it.

I connected cable to audio in and put my fingers on the plug. So you can see some signal in source audio window.

So far, so good. After a couple days though, my DSD+ event log window no longer showing the events in the green font. It does show the timestamps but that's it. Fridays is my reboot day anyway so I'll see what happens. Other than the event log, everything else works fine!

Is there plans to decode MOTOTRBO Text Messages on the Roadmap/Pipeline? I install and maintain TRBO systems and would like to use that function as a tool in my toolbox. Thank you, TT.

NDXN question

I just started using DSDPlus-1.51, Great piece of software. A couple of questions.
1. On a NDXN site I was getting Dispatch and Car numbers and now I don't see anything like
that anymore. I don't know what I did. I use -o2 -i1 to start dsd.
2. On a 9600 site I see "S/S=4800(AUTO) P=NX48(AUTO) on the main window, everywhere
else is show NDXN9600 type numbers.

In relation to NXDN, in particular trunked voice, any chance of having encrypted/scrambled users identified? ie, in the Event Log window, perhaps with a [e] and in Red colour?

Thanks for a great program everyone who worked on it. It seems to work great and I'm very happy to have it. Great work.

One question. When on a control channel the window fills with data but nothing in the program comes up as to what's on it. Is it supposed to? Ala Pro96 that reads all the info such as units, channels, TGs etc. from the CC itself?

I had not noticed that but I am still running both versions on my computer.

Open your command prompt window and type or copy/paste the following:

DSDPlus -h > Help.txt

This will save the the screen output as a text file called "Help.txt".
You can use another file name if you don't like Help.txt.
