I am brand new to DSDPlus FL and I am very impressed with the improvements over the public release. In particular, the ability to start FMP24 with a USB device serial number eliminates the problem of trying to determine which radio is in use. Keeping in mind that I have no idea how difficult it is to make changes to the software, here are just a few questions which might lead to feature requests:
1. Is there a way to run FMP24 with a lower sample rate and smaller spectrum window width? For some of my scanning applications I do not need the higher rate/width.
1a. Alternatively, can FMP be modified to allow assigning a radio by serial number? In the larger scheme of things, can FMP be modified to include the same command set as FMP24?
2. Can FMP24 be modified so that Esc does not exit the program? When trying to manually pause a scan by hitting Esc, it is too easy to hit it twice and cause the program to terminate.
2a. Alternatively, can FMP24 be modified to use a different key, other than Esc, to exit scan mode
I really appreciate the effort that has gone into DSDPlus, keep up the good work.

Esc triggers a prompt (sure you want to exit? (OR NOT!).

Bit more control would be welcomed...

Happy NY everyone. Festive Season this time of year. Be good.

Take a look at FMP24.cfg in your DSD directory

Another poster explained a day or two ago that lower sampling rates lead to unwanted aliasing of the RF spectrum, leading to the possibility of receiving two unrelated signals instead of the one target signal that you seek.

Are *you* pressing Esc twice, or is your keyboard janky? There is software out there that debounces PC keyboards.

Thanks, TheButcher. No, the second Esc simply exits the application, it does not trigger a prompt. The prompt would help, but using a different key to stop the scan would be better.

Thanks for the comment, slicerwizard. I am quite familiar with keyboard bounce as well as my shaky hands. The keyboard is fine. The problem is, it is too easy to hit Esc twice. A different key to stop the scan operation would solve the problem. As for the unwanted aliasing, yes that might be a problem, but for this application, the intent is to monitor frequencies to see what is active/interesting. I can always eliminate aliases later.

And a third suggestion (and perhaps it is already in the software): is it possible to set a scan-resume-delay so that when FMP24 stops on an active frequency and then the transmission stops, it waits a set number of seconds before resuming the scan? This would allow time to monitor the other party's response.

Scan delay is already one of the FMP24 scan list options/modifiers. I see it in the Notes.txt file's FMP24 v2.11 details, so it's been there for a long time.

Thanks again. Since I just joined FL I didn't realize that I would have to scan the entire changelog to find all the documentation. The 2.11 notes include a few other things that I need, thanks for pointing it out to me. I'll make some time to plow through the rest of the notes and see what other features I am missing.
