My last time at the track a few weeks back I finally nailed down 166.55 DPL 054. Today the diplomatic security guys were even more active and I found a new freq. I was pretty sure they had more than one. Today I found 166.95 DPL 054.

I have a friend who works for BSR who gave a rundown on the track's freqs and channels. Unfortunately he couldn't remember it exactly off the top of his head. Basically two channels per circuit plus one (or two?) for EMS, Ch 10 is track maintenance and Ch 9 ???

Hey, I was wondering who submitted that last week. :)

My girlfriend knows someone who's husband does photography for their training out there, so I knew something was going on out there.

What time were they doing training today? I went back through what I had recorded and saw no hits on the 166.55 freq. If they are using HTs, they are probably low-powered. I did however hear Summit Point Raceway itself and Mid-Atlantic Racing.

Training goes on most of the day. They don't use the radios very much. Usually it just stuff like, 'I'm going other here', 'time for lunch'. They are definitely low power, maybe lower than the ones I was using (HT90 I think). It was even weak for me. Today was I working at turn 8 on 461.1375. Another freq you may hear tomorrow is 463.4125 DPL 156. That's a BSR freq. It's used by race orgs to coordinate with BSR. WERA (Western Eastern Roadracing Association) is on the main circuit there this weekend. Today a Porsche club was on the Shenandoah and a motorcycle track day on Jefferson.
