The DCS codes being used by the four repeaters (Towers 575, Towers 600, Shaw Butte, and Signal Peak) being referred to, are non-standard DCS codes and are not inverted. The Motorola XTL and XTS series radios and the older series radio will not accept the use of any Tone or Code not listed in the pulldown lists/tables.
It is my understanding that the APX series radios also will not allow the use or you can deviate from the pulldown lists and overwrite with any non-standard Tones or Codes. However, some or all of the XPR series radios will allow you to use the non-standard Tones and Codes using the CPS 2 Programming Software. I'm not sure about thd older CPS version programming software for the XPR series radios.
I am using those very same non-standard codes in my XPR5550e and XPR7550e radios for those four listed repeaters.
Also, I am able to change/overwrite the Tones and Codes listed in the pulldown lists with the Kenwood CPS programming software in the TK780 and 880 series radios.
The repeater owner decided to use the non-standard Codes because of an individual constantly jamming the four repeaters. This problem has been going on for two years and these repeaters are in high elevations and are heavily used by licensed GMRS users.
I was hoping that the repeater owner for those four sites would have used MDC PT-T ID or RAC like some of the other repeater owners had to do in other areas of the State so I can continue using my XTL and XTS and other vintage series Motorola radios.
