Drug dealer robbed, asks police for help

GRAND BLANC TWP. — A drug dealer who was robbed by two would-be customers armed with a baseball bat turned to an unlikely source for help: the police.
The victim went to a residence on Lincoln Manor Friday to deliver a small amount of marijuana and was jumped by the two suspects when he arrived, township police Capt. Jude Rariden said.
The men grabbed him, threatened him with a baseball bat, made him empty his pickets, and took his money and drugs, Rariden said.
The suspects then chased him from the house with the bat, tossing $5 at him as he left, the captain said.
The victim made his way to the police department and told officers what happened, Rariden said.
“He said he was scared beyond belief,” he said. “He admitted to trying to sell the dope.”
Officers responded, and within a short time, arrested both of the suspects – a Flint man, 18, and a Grand Blanc man, also 18. Both were lodged in the Genesee County Jail pending charges.
One of them said he was surprised they could get in trouble for stealing drugs, Rariden said.
