I have a spare RPi 2B that I'm thinking of turning into a hotspot. Yes, I know that pi is older technology, but I thought another hotspot would be a good use for it. Is there a viable option for a duplex MMDVM hat? I've been told there might be performance issues. If simplex is my only option, I'm okay with that, but I thought I'd explore a duplex solution first.

Let us know how it goes. I'm about to switch back to my 3b from a BlueDV setup. BDV stops responding after a day or so if it doesnt receive local RF.

Pi2b is more than enough to run you duplex hotspot. With the W0CHP operating systems the only one Chip warns about being underpowered is the Pi Zero. I run 3 Pi Zero simplex hotspots without displays with no issues.

I've been wanting to try WPSD, but my other hotspot is a Pi Zero running Pi-Star. I think I'll try that first. Thanks!
