I'm pretty sure they're on IDen so it's un-monitorable. I'm sure others can chime in with a better explanation.

The rest of Durham region can be found here http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=4288

There is also this simplex freq. which means you would have to be within range of the transmitting handheld.

* Use discretion if you happen to hear something close by*

You have to have a scanner that can pick up ident and I don't know of any scanner that can pick it up.

Does ident use cell phone frequencies or just other truck radio system using digital modulation other than P25 like province radio system?

Ident is short for Indentification and is a department usually associated with a police department.

IDEN is what Durham Regional PS uses and it's what the Telus MIKE system is.

No I mean is it just like other modulation like province or P25? And are there on a trunk radio system or not?

They're SMR frequecies all the stuff is digital and unmonitorable by normal hobbiest monitoring equipment.

No, I didn't say that.

SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio or something like that) is roughly 851-869Mhz.

Cellular is 869-894Mhz.
