I was in west Norman at about Main Street and 24th Avenue West. I definitely felt it.
My first thought was that it was an earthquake, but I reasoned that what I felt was too intense to be an Oklahoma earthquake. I had resolved that it was a large truck bouncing along behind the stores to my west. I also had my noise attenuating headset on, so I didn't hear any of the higher frequencies that might have been produced by things rattling around me. When I went around to the front of the house, wildly gesticulating neighbors were outside and when I removed my headset, I discovered there was much discussion going on about the strong earthquake.
When I returned home to Midwest City, I discovered that a tool had worked its way off the hook that it was hanging on and had fallen off the pegboard. It would have taken quite a jolt to cause it to fall.
I'm glad that I added earthquake insurance to my houses during the last review.
