Came over Zello channel said earthquake was felt in Bronx, New York and Jersey City. Apparently some places are being evacuated. Update- 4.8 felt in NJ

A 4.8 in Hunterdon County. Burlington County overwhelmed with 9-1-1 calls including overflow from Camden and Monmouth Counties…
Felt it in Suffolk County NY (Long Island)
Why are idiots calling 911? Nothing felt at all down here in Gloucester County.
Felt it just west of Philly, only lasted about 15 seconds.
Def. felt it here I thought something hit my house

I’m listening in to amateur radio linked ham repeater W2NJR based out of New Jersey through EchoLink and so far, no major structural damage, gas leaks, or injuries reported.

Just got a Public safety alert over my phone about it,

Felt it on the Queens/Brooklyn border in NY. I was at a red light and felt the car shaking. Honestly thought it was the wind lol. The alert was a joke, they sent it like 45 minutes after it happened.
I just got it now ...few minutes ago?

It was strong in Green Brook. House shook/swayed. Ground rumbled. News said something about structural damage in Long Valley. Shook me up.

Toms River and I felt it and knew right away what it was. Lasted about 20 to 30 seconds and the house was creaking, I was getting up and heading outside when it stopped. It was pretty cool to experience.

I am about 5 or 6 miles from the epicenter. I had about 4 good aftershocks between 1pm-1:45pm

Whats the thought process of people calling 911 when there's an earthquake. I understand if there's a rescue or structural damage but just calling and holding up the lines for actual emergencies is a head scratcher
