Yaesu: Ebay Yaesu Ft7900

I have noticed on Ebay they are selling the Yaesu Ft7900r and I believe yaesu doesn't make that model anymore so I assuming they are chinese knock offs.
Has anyone purchase one of these from ebay and have you had any issues with one.

Chinese knock off road apple radios. No warranty, no US band plan, like the fake Icoms from China, complete trash. Save your money, buy a real Yaesu from an authorized dealer, get a US market genuine product with a 3 year genuine US warranty.

To the best of my knowledge, Ebay is not an authorized amateur radio dealer for any of the Japanese manufacturers. You may see amateur radio dealers selling on Ebay, but it will be pretty easy to identify them.

As posted above, most of the new "name brand" amateur radio gear being sold on Ebay is Chinese knock-offs with no warranty. Buyer beware.

The ad states "lifetime warranty". I guess that means when it dies, it's lifetime is over. lol
