Why do these two agencies have a very annoying tone at the beginning of each transmission and nobody else does?

I monitor the 3 main CCCSO TG’s routinely. I have not heard an “annoying tone” as of last night.
I am using a Unication G4 and G5.
What are you using to monitor the TG’s? Is it possible it is how you have your unit set up?

Perhaps you have programmed an alert tone in to these two talk groups?

I’m using a G5. Used it for years and haven’t reprogrammed Co Co west since EBRICS started.
I’ll check for a alert tone just in case. I have never programmed for a tone, we’re would it be.

Tab D5 - for the group list entry, set the "Alert Mode" to "None".
