El Paso EDACS System - What is the status?

Can someone give an update as to the status of the El Paso EDACS ProVoice system?

El Paso City and County Trunking System, El Paso, Texas - Scanner Frequencies

Questions:

1) Is this system on the air?
2) Is it being used by any El Paso City/County agency?
3) Are there plans to further use or expand this system?

We are representing talkgroups from Fire/EMS, airport, and a bunch of other agencies, however none of those agencies are using the system from what we've been told.

Can someone with definitive (not speculative) information help us out so we can take appropriate action?

Lindsay,

I can't answer most of your questions, but I can confirm that public safety in El Paso is not, and will not, be
using the EDACS system. They will be staying on their existing Motorola system, until they migrate to P25.
