I have applied to take a 2 week course at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg. I thought I would get in so talk and listening time while I am back there. Are there any good freq;s to listen too? Any 2m and 70cm repeaters there? I have looked at the database and didn't find anything. I will be taking my FPP XTS5000's with me so I won't be able to listing to anything 700/800 while there unless a get a new scanner before then.

Emmitsburg is in Frederick County Maryland, not DC. You might have better luck in the Maryland forums - and check the ARTSCI database for Maryland as well. I think we even have 1 or 2 ham clubs for the Frederick area on the Capitol Hill Monitors Maryland page. As I recall, there's also a link for the ARTSCI listing there (I should know, I built the CHM page....) 73s Mike
