EMS/Air Evac/FIRE Hear Channel

Hey everyone,

Earlier today I was hearing a medevac call for my county and they were having troubles hearing the flight team/pilot and crew from Air Evac Lifeteam on other chananels they were using so they were switching over to the HEAR frequency is that the 155.34 frequency?

Yep. That’s the frequency. Listen with no tone (CSQ), as tone (PL) is dependent on the county or regional assignment.

Thanks Jay! Is this channel worth listening to even though they have mixed mode capabilities where the modulation is both analog and digital.

Yep, although many counties and states are abandoning VHF. Helicopters in the EMS world still use it daily in Georgia, though.
