OP25 Error Question

Have a question a friend of mine gets this error about once a day on a Pi3b


UI Timeout
cb transfer status: 1, canceling...
rtlsdr_read_async returned with -5

Any ideas thanks

The UI Timeout is not an error but rather is just informational. Don't quote me but I want to recall that op25 times out on connections
to the various plot resources, IE: FFT, Constellation, and etc. after about five minutes to free system resources that can become critical on
SBC platforms such as the Raspberry Pi.

I started an FFT plot via the HTTP Console letting it sit until timeout then observed "06/29/21 08:03:53.354798 UI Timeout" appear in my logfile.

These two might be more toward error messages than informational messages.

They suggest a hardware type problem in the USB channel driver for the RTL SDR. Try re-plugging the SDR and/or changing USB ports, swapping out the hardware (if a spare is available), etc. One possible clue is if the error is sensitive to any slight torsion applied to the USB stick...

The rtl errors are caused by the kernel losing connection to the dongle. Check the power supply and wobbly dongle USB connection.
