Can't you just dump the files to a .csv format? That's nothing more than a comma seperated values file, which even Notepad can read. So can Excel and many other word processing and spreadsheet programs. 73s Mike

Not sure if this answers your question, but you can open an MEM file directly in Notepad. Right-click the file and select 'Open With' and then choose Notepad.

Sometimes if I just want to change an alpha tag, I'll just open the MEM in Notepad and make the fix since it's faster than opening ARC246 or ARC396.

Yes I know you can do that.....just was looking to "strip" it to regular text real quick....thanks though I certainly appreciate the input.

Hi SDB, I guess we're over here now in this forum!

Export to .csv file, open it with ms WORD. Make sure your cursor is at the beginning of the document. Click edit/find and then in the box that pops up click replace. Put a comma in the find what box and a space bar in the replace with box. Click find next a couple of times to see if it is working the way you want and then click replace all. In about 2 seconds all of the commas will be gone!

Don't forget to do a Save As, then save it to a Text.txt file, if in fact you want a text file. MS Word *.doc files are not viewable as text files.

Good tip, thanks. I just do it so automatically I don't think about it. Too many lost documents in my past!

And Slicerwizard: Thanks for that link, I will give it try. Anything to make life easier.
