Fayetteville TRS Talkgroups

I am inthe Arkansas area and was listening to Fayetteville TRS when I noticed that they are using the "old" talkgroups. What is the deal with that system? Is it just growing into something else or were there issues that resulted in the new/old arrangement?

When I posted the new talkgroups the Police were starting to migrate to digital. One day it just all went back to analog, except for some DTF/DEA work I guess they stayed on analog. I no longer live in Arkansas so I have no idea on future use of their system.

UGH, I hate Fayetteville PD so much for that.

One cold day back in 2003 or so I turned my old Icom 2SRA onto the local TRS and heard digital squawk. I grumbled, cursed the digital network and shut it off, later selling it.

I didn't find out until I spent $500 for a 396 that they had switched back to old analog a very short while after.

Eh, I guess it's nice for AWIN.
