On the scanners that do NOAA weather alerts AND an attached GPS. While traveling, it would be very useful if NOAA county SAME codes and frequency could automatically switch as you moved about. That way the radio could provide alerts for severe events with no need for user intervention.
On radios with the ability to set their location via zip code, something similar (but obviously not while moving) would be useful for folks in OTR trucking or RV's and the like that stop for the night and stay in the vehicle overnight. Punch in the zip code and the radio will set the proper frequency and SAME county code.
