Filmware update

I have a Radio Shack Pro 96 Scanner and right now I have the F 1.2 for the version.

I want to upgrade to DSP 1.4 but dont have th cable to do it with. Would anyone be willing to do it for me to upgrade my scanner filmware to 1.4 from 1.2 that it is right now?

Why don't you buy the cable? Then you'll have it for future upgrades and can use it with programming software.

Well the question is can I do this with just the normal serial cord??? cause the link that was posted shows some big box in the middle??

The standard serial cable should work. The link I posted is for a USB cable.
