Having trouble finding talkgroup ID's with Radio Reference. I am using SDR Trunk. I am getting traffic from talkgroups that I can not ID with Radio Reference. Currently feeding calls and voice from Anderson, SC. One of the talkgroup ID's is 41305, which isn't in the reference for me to add to my alias list.

Not all talkgroups are listed in RR database, the database is based on listener submissions of verified/confirmed monitoring, if no one has identified the talkgroup users and usage then it shouldn't be in the database.

Keep track of the radio IDs on the talkgroup, if in the clear, listen for type of traffic and addresses, over time you should be able to identify the location and users.

Talkgroup range wiki isn't much help either. Best advice I can offer the OP is to keep listening. What is discussed? Any identifiable info? Locations? If you log radio IDs do they match up with RIDs from known talkgroups? (Proscan is a great tool for RID/TGID logging)

You could, if not done so already, download and install Trunking Recorder and let it record all those tg's for playback at a later time.

Then if you want to record all those unknown tg's, and play them back in sequence thru Trunking Recorder,

Whistler trx-1 wildcard is bringing in a lot of hits but I want to put them in a scanlist where they belong.
They show up with a talkgroup ID but making a new entry doesnt seem to be getting them out
of wildcard status. I I also need to mention Ive tried digital , analog and auto to no avail. Any ideas?

[sorry wrong thread] cant delete
